Stockton Lake, Western Australia with fast internet.

Updated: Aug 23, 2022

We headed out to Stockton Lake, after Busselton, for a quick overnight stop.

Stockton Lake is absolutely the bluest lake I have ever seen. It was originally an open cut mine which is now filled with water to make it an artificial lake. The lake is blue due to past mining activities and the water is mildly acidic too. It wasn’t hot while we were there, so it was nice to look at but we didn't feel the urge to go in.

The splendour of seeing the blue water when we arrived was only surpassed in its beauty by both he sunrise and sunset. Pure magic with the reflection of the sky on the water.

Caravan internet wise, Optus on Out There Internet system was amazing! We were getting speeds we don’t often see in remote locations. We couldn't think of a better way to spend the night than streaming a high def movie, sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the tranquility of the lake.
